Hurricane Laura Causes Over 2,000 Power Outages in Adams County

Hurricane Laura has officially made landfall, and while it has weakened to a Category Two storm, it has still greatly affected the lives of many Mississippians.

Entergy Mississippi reported this morning that Adams County is experiencing over two thousand power outages across the area. Most of the outages appear to be taking place in Natchez.

In a statement made on the company’s website, workers are already hard at work to restore power as quickly and efficiently as possible.

While power outages are always inconvenient, these come at a crucial time as many are still working from home and some students distance learn in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
