Governor changes restaurant rules to allow in-room dining, salons and barbers remain closed

Governor Tate Reeves is set to alloow in room dining for restaurants and other new allowances for Mississippians.

From Reeves:

We are working to safely re-open more of Mississippi. Today, that means in-room dining at restaurants and larger groups allowed outdoors.

More details on that and our efforts to get aid out to people—even though the legislature has intervened to try and stop us—in today’s update.

There will be restrictions on dining in restaurants, though. These include masks for servers and no more than 50% capacity.

Barbers and salons will remain closed, according to Reeves. There will be funds to help stabilize those industries, according to the Governor.
